Delaware Park Stewardship
Did you know that all our private events help financially support the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy (BOPC)?
Listed on the National Register for Historic Places, Buffalo’s Olmsted Park System was designed over 150 years ago by Frederick Law Olmsted. During the 1901 Pan American Exposition, Buffalo was celebrated not only as the City of Light, but the City of Trees. His system of parks and parkways in Buffalo was the first of its kind in the nation and represents one of his largest bodies of work.
Today the care, maintenance, and restoration of these historic treasures are the responsibility of nearly 100 seasonal and full-time staff members, a volunteer board of trustees with 24 members, and over 1500 volunteers each year.

Our experience was amazing. The team really went above and beyond to make our day truly spectacular. The inside and the outdoor tent was set up beautifully – and you really can’t beat the view of the park and the lake. Our guests raved about the cocktail hour food, oyster bar and dinner – it was all delicious. I really cannot speak highly enough about this venue! Our wedding was absolutely perfect and we are so grateful to the highly attentive staff for making it all happen seamlessly.
